The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), in partnership with the Center for Federalism and Constitutional Reform (CFCR), holds a media briefing on the Constitutional Reform (CoRe) showcase roadshow called the 'Balangayan 2019' at the Hotel del Rio in Iloilo City, Iloilo on November 29, 2019.

The event, which is now on its second day, seeks to create a platform where government officials, different sectors, and stakeholders can have a constructive dialogue on constitutional reform. Among its priority concerns include opening more opportunities for provinces to develop and prosper, and to further bring the government closer to the people.

Local Road Management Team Chairpersons and secretariat, Provincial Engineers, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinators and DILG Provincial LFP focal staff during the Regional Assessment on the 2019 Governance Reform and Provincial Governance Reform Roadmap (PGRR) Annual Reform Action Plan of the Provincial Government.

The two-day activity aims to assess the implementation and achieved targets, sharing of good practices and plans on PGRR, facilitated by Development Management Officer V and CMGP Regional Coordinator Angeline Castro with technical assistance provided by CMGP Assistant Program Manager Daisy Salacup of the DILG-CO OPDS. Outputs of the activity from November 28-29, 2019 will be presented at the National Program Implementation Review of CMGP.

Conduct of Regional Campaign on Strengthening Reintegration Efforts for Former Rebels and their Immediate Family Members through Convergence and Unified Process participated by heads, members and representatives from the CSO, AFP, PNP, DSWD and the Department of National Defense. RD Marlo L. Iringan in his welcome remarks said that today's meeting of minds is very beneficial in the strengthening of the ECLIP program especially in the implementation of the benefits of the FRs and entice more rebels to surrender to the calls of the law.

The session today covers different topics on ECLIP guidelines, JAPIC Certification, Firearm Valuation and programs and services for the FRs and their immediate families. Brigadier General Henry Doyaoen together with DILG-CAR LGMED Division Chief Marleen M. Guerzon and LGOO IV Trisha Dogup facilitates the discussion and dialogue for the activity.
